Cisco tasked us with launching their newest solution to tackle the growing data landscape: 400G ethernet switches.

Offering massive bandwidth speeds, state of the art security, and ultimate flexibility it is an absolute game changer in networking technology.

But what exactly does all of that mean? How does this actually affect us? How can this new technology be used to change our lives?

But, every story is a human story.

When tasked with creating a video to launch Cisco Systems newest 400G networking product, we wanted to go beyond the technology to the real, tangible, ways it could impact our lives.

We told a story of two childhood friends who grew up to become doctors living on opposite sides of the world from each other.  Together, they collaborate from thousands of miles away to save a young girl’s life.  With the speed of 400g technology, they communicate and collaborate in ways that before, would have been impossible.

Filming

Filming in San Francisco was easy. The real challenge was filming in Montreal where we just so happened to be filming on the coldest night in the city’s recorded history… 26 degrees below zero. 

We filmed all through the night, walking empty streets with a heated van running constantly so we could take heat breaks every 10 minutes to make sure we and our equipment didn't freeze.  

When we say we will do anything for the shot we mean it.
